First of all, great piece! I really enjoyed reading it 🙂

I’ve read some of the best books and seen some amazing films because of celebrity recommendations. Very haunting that this book was his favourite, I didn’t know that. After The Bell Jar, if you want to read another classic, I recommend Tender Is The Night - the setting on the French Riviera makes it the perfect summer read 🌞

Thank you so much Caoilainn! And i consider this my call to start reading tender is the night! I have this book on my shelf for over 5 years now. I bought it in a second hand book shop in Sydney Australia, and it’s a copy from the 70’s. Don’t know why i never read it tbh. Thanks for the recommendation 🥰 hope you’ll have a lovely day

My boyfriend loves Kurt cobain (they have the same birthday) and I love reading I’m thinking maybe I should get that book for him.. as far as your favorite foods go, I guess I’m a kid too because I love the same things you do 🤭 I love that you shared some of your favorites with us 🫶🏽

Hi LaQuinekia! That would be a wonderful gift if he loves kurt. And as for the food, it’s the best part of being an adult to be able to choose to eat like a kid again lol. Thank you for reading and your sweet comment 🥰

i have felt a kind of strange soul-tie to Kurt Cobain since high school, so i very much relate there. i read Perfume awhile back and felt the same as you—it really puts into perspective how he might have interpreted the world through the lens of that book.

i hope you enjoy the Bell Jar, that is a fantastic book! i’ve recently finished My Dark Vanessa, which i thoroughly enjoyed (but is quite disturbing)

No way!! Glad to hear i am not the only one with the soul tie to someone who’s no longer walking this earth 🥲 is it weird to say i miss kurt cobain even though he was dead long before i could form a sentence?

I almost finished the bell jar! It’s really good so far. I’ll have a look at my dark vanessa, looks like we have similar taste 👀 so probably will be into it! 🫶🏼🫶🏼
